I am a virtual assistant and I help UK based small business owners in providing valuable support and relevant assistance on designing their website and marketing materials, assisting on wedding and event planning, and general admin like email and diary management.

If you search Ann Cherie, one thing that will come up is Ann Cherie Cakes. That is because, it used to be that – Ann Cherie Cakes. I used to be a professional cake artist, but I also did all the admin, advertising and even website building.

I was a professional cake maker for 7 years trading under Cheeky MunchCakes, then rebranded to Ann Cherie Cakes. You can still have a look at my Instagram and Facebook pages, but I already shut down the website, as the business is now permanently closed.

Being a business owner, a mother, a wife and a part-time employee, I remember back then wishing for someone to be doing the admin side as well as the social media updates so that I can just be in the kitchen focusing on creating my beautiful cakes and bakes. My husband is an accountant, but he was too busy with work, so he could only do the delivery part of the business, (which I am grateful for, by the way) as I couldn’t imagine myself driving with tiers of cakes at the back of the car. I had to answer all the queries, do multiple quotes per customer, do the shopping of materials and ingredients, make sure to be present on my social media to keep up with the marketing, design my logo and leaflets – basically, EVERYTHING! When in fact, I could have asked for some help on some areas. Maybe I didn’t get exhausted and the passion didn’t go away. Or maybe, I am meant to be that “helper” so other businesses can thrive.
